Trained to keep your family safe
Our agency funds every nanny to complete the Kidsafe injury-prevention course. If Stacey identifies any additional training required, such as anaphylaxis, we will fund your nanny to complete it.
Checks
A safety standard for everyone
Nannies must hold a current Working With Children Check (Blue Card or interstate equivalent), a National Police Certificate, and current CPR and First Aid. Families also provide a National Police Certificate, so trust runs both ways.

With you after day one
With our optional Care Membership, placement is just the beginning. Stacey stays on hand for advice, check-ins and backup care for as long as your family needs a nanny.

Each nanny is personally vetted by a Registered Nurse and Midwife, with a thorough assessment of their experience, qualifications and suitability. We further elevate the standard of nanny recruitment by funding dedicated safety training for every nanny we place. Stacey also takes the time to understand each family's individual needs, arranging additional training where required to ensure the highest standard of care.
Our commitment to safety extends both ways, with appropriate screening checks completed for families as well. We believe that exceptional childcare starts with trust, transparency and the right support from the very beginning. For continued reassurance beyond placement, our Care Membership ensures Stacey remains in your corner, providing ongoing guidance and support as your family's needs evolve.

As a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife, I have dedicated my career to caring for babies and supporting families. Nearest & Dearest brings that same professional standard to nanny care, and you work directly with me from your first enquiry.
Every candidate completes an in-depth personality interview with real-life scenario-based questions, led by Stacey, a Registered Nurse and Midwife. We verify ID, a National Police Certificate issued in the last 12 months, two references, current First Aid and CPR, and their Blue Card directly with the government. Every nanny also completes Kidsafe injury-prevention training before placement.
Most searches take two to six weeks. You'll receive weekly progress updates while we search.
What does it cost?
A non-refundable $500 recruitment fee starts your search. The remaining placement fee is paid only when you decide to go ahead with a nanny. We'll walk you through pricing in your discovery call.
Why do you ask families for a police certificate?
Safety goes both ways. Asking parents or guardians for a National Police Certificate before a placement protects our nannies and keeps the same high standard for everyone in the home.

Stacey was wonderful with both of our children. Her role as our nanny would often see her taking our toddler to swimming lessons, gymnastics, and other activities, while confidently caring for our newborn. Stacey helped us through many important milestones, from toilet training our eldest to sleep training and baby led weaning with our youngest. As a new mum of two, knowing that Stacey had previous experience with families with multiple children ranging in various age groups, as well as the knowledge and confidence to handle everything from feeding to first aid, gave me such peace of mind. (As a couple that work in healthcare, Stacey’s background in Nursing and Midwifery provided that extra reassurance.)
Stacey was also a huge help around the house, taking care of laundry, dishes, meal prep, cleaning, sterilising, and preparing bottles, all without ever needing to be asked. She naturally knew what needed to be done and how to make herself helpful from the moment she walked through the door.
Stacey would plan engaging activities for the boys at home, bathe and feed them, and confidently managed both of their daily routines, including settling them both to sleep.
Something that stood out about Stacey was how calm and reassuring she was. Those early days with two young children often felt overwhelming, but Stacey was always a steady, caring presence. She never seemed fazed, and having someone I completely trusted to take care of my boys made such a difference. She was also always open to feedback and happy to adapt to any changes we wanted to make to the kids’ routines.
Stacey has an incredible work ethic and genuinely goes above and beyond. She even travelled overseas with us to help care for the boys during important family events, which says so much about the trust we have in her and how much we valued having her by our side.
Most importantly, both of our boys absolutely adore Stacey and are always so excited to see her. She became a really important part of their lives, and ours, during the early years. We will always be grateful for the love, care, and support she gave our family.
