National Police Certificate

We require a current National Police Certificate for every nanny, checked through an accredited provider to confirm there's nothing of concern on their record.

Personality & Scenario Based Interviews

Every nanny completes both a personality  and scenario-based interview, helping us understand how they would respond in real-world situations.

Reference Check's

We personally speak with two professional referees for every nanny, gathering honest, first-hand insight into their experience and reliability.

First Aid & CPR

Every nanny holds current CPR renewed years and First Aid certification renewed every 3 years in line with national standards.

Blue Card/WWCC

Every nanny holds a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), verified directly through the relevant government authority.

Our Screening Process

Modern Office Interior
Excellence isn't negotiable. Every nanny we place undergoes our comprehensive screening and training because a high standard isn't optional when it comes to your family's safety.

ID Verification

We verify every nanny's identity using government-authenticated checks, confirming exactly who they say they are before they ever step into your home.

The Story Behind Our

Onboarding Training

Every nanny placed through our agency completes our purpose-built Onboarding Training Program before ever meeting your family. It was designed by our founder, a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife, after years of noticing that not every experienced nanny approaches everyday safety with the same instinctive awareness. This program exists to close that gap, ensuring every nanny we place has been walked through the same foundational safety fundamentals, rather than relying on assumption alone.

The program includes video modules presented personally by our founder, supporting written content, and quiz's at the end of every module. Each nanny must score 100% before becoming a successful Nearest and Dearest Nanny.

A few important things for families to know:

This is a non-accredited, internally developed program, not a nationally recognised qualification, and not a substitute for a nanny's own First Aid and CPR certification, which we verify separately.

It draws on publicly available, evidence-based child safety resources (including organisations like Kidsafe) alongside our founder's own clinical background.

Completing the program reflects a nanny's engagement with, and understanding of, this content at the time they completed it and it doesn't replace a nanny's own ongoing responsibility to stay informed on current child safety guidance.
