How long does it take to find a nanny?

On average, between two and six weeks. We never rush a match, we search until we find the right fit for your family, not just the first available candidate.

How thoroughly are nannies screened?

Every nanny undergoes identity verification, a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), a National Police Certificate, current CPR and First Aid certification, two professional reference checks, and both a personality and scenario-based interview.

What is the Onboarding Training Program?

Accepted Answer

Every nanny completes our purpose built training program, video modules led personally by our founder, a Registered Nurse and Midwife, plus written content and quizzes requiring full comprehension before progressing. It's a non-accredited internal program, and doesn't replace a nanny's own First Aid and CPR certification.

What happens if it doesn't work out with my nanny?

Accepted Answer

Within the first three months, we'll find a replacement at no additional Recruitment or Placement Fee, provided the placement was entered into in good faith.

Question 5

What is the Nearest & Dearest community?

Accepted Answer

Once you've paid your first Placement Fee, you automatically become part of our ongoing community. If you ever need a further placement, you'll only pay the $500 Recruitment Fee (no Placement Fee) within the first 12 months, and a reduced loyalty rate for as long as you remain with us after that.Additionally, for the life you have your Nearest and Dearest Nanny we check the status of your nannies blue card/WWCC, CPR and first aid monthly.

Do you offer payroll processing?

We offer optional payroll processing for $30/week, covering pay, superannuation, and record-keeping on your behalf.

Am I the legal employer of my nanny?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Regardless of whether you use our payroll service, your family remains the legal employer of your nanny at all times, responsible for relevant employment obligations.

Nannies are covered by the miscellanious award.

What is the average hourly rate for a nanny?

Accepted Answer

It can depend on the nannies experiance, qualifications and state on which they work. Typiclly a nanny can be expected to charge $35 - $45/hr. Night nanny rates are higher.
